A Birthday at the Beach

To celebrate my dad's birthday we all headed over to the Oregon coast to Newport. The weekend started with a visit to Moe's for some clam chowder to warm up. Then a stroll down the streets looking in all the boutiques and galleries and....the C*A*N*D*Y   S*H*O*P! Couldn't leave the candy store without some of their great caramel corn for some late night snacking in the hotel room!

Here are the newlyweds Jen & Brandon...

The other newlyweds my dad and mom...

And me and my dad...

Then it was off to the Adobe Inn to check in and get ready for drinks and dinner. The sunset was gorgeous that night and so was the dinner. I had a yummy seafood fettucini and the other entrees that everybody else got looked and smelled great too.

Dad with all his girls...

The next day was gorgeous and all sunny skies. After our breakfast we enjoyed strolling along the bluff. The tide was in too far so we weren't able to walk along the beach. The waves were majestic and big.

Take a close look...this looks like a big cavity of marshmallows - it's actually the scum from the ocean that has collected in this pool.

See, white fluffy scum - ewweee...

Me and my dad and our doggies...

Mom and Dad and Miguelito...

Me and my girl...

And, as if we didn't eat enough on the weekend, on our way home we stopped at the outlets in Lincoln City and had an ice cream too! So huge were these cones and ice cream - generous servings! Was worth the stop!

It was a great weekend! Happy Birthday Daddy!
