I Have Been B*U*S*Y*

I should have been outside on those nice days we've had this past week, but instead I have been B*U*S*Y* in my craft room making pretties. The yard will ALWAYS be there for me to work on but the ideas swimming around in my head for these lovelies may not be - it's an age thing!

I love these bracelets...

And this necklace is made from an antique shoe clip I found at an outdoor market in Cuba last spring...

This is an old antique tin type photo of a girl I encased in some ICE resin and there are also some bracelet links from an antique Paris souvenir bracelet I purchased...

This beauty's main pendant drop is from an antique enameled earring - I still have one more to do something with!

Sleep...Sleep...Sleep

All this pooch wants to do since having her "weekend" with her boyfriend eddie has been to sleep...and this requires her to ALWAYS be sleeping on someone's lap because that's just who she is - a LAP dog! And her favorite sleeping position is on her back with her paws up to her chin - so cute!

But, she also wants you to constantly rub and scratch her belly - and if you don't, she whines...she stares at you and whines...

We call her a high maintenance pooch...we are thinking that this latest behavior is due to her becoming a "mommy" soon! I guess the "weekend" with eddie was successful!

Rest Those Weary Feet

I've had this idea in mind for quite a while now. Had all the elements together for well over a year. Just the manpower is needed now. As in "honey can you cut these down with that fancy table saw we have in the garage?" I know it will only take a moment...or two or three...but the result will be way cool!

Take a look at these legs. Shapely aren't they? They are going to look so great attached to that old chippy door over there.

Vintage door + turned table legs + skirting + can of black paint = a cool new place to rest MY legs...

Curiouser and Curiouser

That's what we were...curious. Curious to see the movie that many people have been talking about...curious to see if it could own up to the suspense we have all been having about it. Well, all I have to say is if you are going to go and see this movie you must see it in 3D. The colors are fabulous and the costumes are great. Story line to me was "simple," but it seems that nothing really wows me these days - I'm sorry to say that even Avatar was mediocre to me...is there something wrong with me?

We went and bought our tickets early in the afternoon and it is a good thing we did because when we went there for the start time they were sold out for both shows.

3D is the way to go...

Both daughters liked it and that is all that matters...even if their mom is hard to please these days!
